Mission Statement
Our mission is to restore the magic of believing at a time when a child needs to “just-be-a-kid” and to remind them to be brave, strong and fearless!
A Moment of Magic Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Wilkes-Barre. They provide medically vulnerable children with creative programming, outlets and support to foster imagination, friendship and hope. Their college-student volunteers dress up as beloved characters and visit children’s hospitals, nonprofits and social service institutions. Their high-quality programming provides fun, playful moments for children with critical or chronic illnesses.
A Moment of Magic has grown from a small organization to 29 chapters across the country. Their programs have touched the lives of over 100,000 medically vulnerable children.
