Mission Statement
Since its founding in 1984, Arts at Hayfield has pursued its mission of promoting enrichment in the arts for all members of our local community, to provide opportunities for local performers, craft persons, etc., and to form a network of people interested in the arts in our area.
Arts at Hayfield is a nonprofit that fosters arts and culture in the Back Mountain. They are known for their Summer Craft Fair in August and the Homespun Holiday Craft Fair in November, which are held at Penn State Wilkes-Barre in Lehman. The fairs allow local artists, crafters and performers to share their work with the community. Arts at Hayfield also offers educational tours of the historic Hayfield House during the craft fairs.
In addition to the craft fairs, Arts at Hayfield also holds cultural events like book discussions. They give back to the local arts scene by awarding scholarships and supporting area libraries, galleries and cultural groups.
