Mission Statement
Camp Freedom provides outdoor healing adventures for disabled Veterans, First Responders, their family members, and Gold Star families. We provide extensive, year-round outdoor activities which remove individuals from clinical settings and place them into the healing environment of the outdoors and nature. These adventures also promote the social well-being of the participants through peer-to-peer interaction, camaraderie, and outdoor adventures.

Camp Freedom in Carbondale is a nonprofit organization offering life-changing outdoor adventures for disabled Veterans, First Responders, their families and Gold Star families. Situated on 2,350 acres of protected land, Camp Freedom provides more than recreation—it’s a path toward physical, emotional and spiritual healing. Through guided hunting, fishing, hiking and outdoor experiences, the camp creates a safe space for recovery, connection and renewed purpose.
