Mission Statement
The Nonprofit & Community Assistance Center is dedicated to strengthening and supporting Northeastern Pennsylvania’s nonprofit organizations and grantmakers in their service to our region. We develop and offer resources, facilitate partnerships and collaborations and assist in the identification and implementation of governance and management best practices to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of organizations and the services and programs they offer.
The Nonprofit & Community Assistance Center (NCAC) is an affiliate of NEPA Alliance. They offer services, workshops and resources that are strategically designed to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of nonprofits, foundations and community organizations.
Each year, NCAC provides support to over 200 organizations and training to over 400 individuals. They offer an extensive reference library filled with best practice guides and information about local and national foundations. They also offer individualized assistance and workshops about grants, strategic planning, demographics and statistics, board governance, capital campaigns and fundraising. Their bi-weekly e-newsletter shares information about funding and grant opportunities and special events.
NCAC offers memberships to further assist organizations to reach their full potential. Annual memberships at $50, and two-year memberships are $95.
