North Branch Art Trail | Celebrating The Arts
North Branch Art Trail in Dimock, PA is a nonprofit member organization dedicated to celebrating and promoting artists along the North Branch of the Susquehanna River. Founded in 1994, it was the first arts trail of its kind in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Today, the organization supports artists and cultural destinations across an 18-county region spanning upstate New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
A Legacy of Regional Arts Leadership
The original North Branch Art Trail was created by artist Brian Keeler in Wyalusing, PA. For 16 consecutive years, the organization hosted an annual open house celebration featuring exhibits, studio tours and a community festival. The event grew in size and reputation, drawing visitors from across the region.
In 2018, the trail was reinstated as a program of the Kitson Arts Alliance. With renewed energy and expanded reach, the organization now highlights the entire 300-mile length of the North Branch of the Susquehanna River, from Cooperstown, NY to Sunbury, PA.
North Branch Arts Paper
The nonprofit publishes the North Branch Arts Paper three times per year. This regional publication serves as a guide to galleries, museums, artist studios and performing arts venues. It also includes a business guide and resource directory supporting arts and tourism organizations.
With 15,000 copies distributed throughout the region, the Arts Paper connects residents and visitors to creative experiences and local destinations.
Programs, Tours & Community Engagement
North Branch Art Trail produces the Wyoming County Arts & Artists Tour along with additional programs and events. These initiatives invite the public to meet artists, explore studios and support small businesses.
By promoting collaboration and cultural tourism, North Branch Art Trail strengthens the creative economy and fosters appreciation for the arts throughout the Susquehanna River region.
