As part of National Recovery Month, the 2024 Lackawanna County Recovery Walk and Celebration will be held at Nay Aug Park in Scranton on Sunday, September 22.

Here’s the schedule:
· 11 a.m. – Registration
· Noon – Recovery Walk
· 1 p.m. – Celebration of Recovery

The one-mile walk will take place entirely within Nay Aug Park and will begin with a performance by the Keep Out Brass Band. 300-600 participants are expected. There will be FREE T-shirts, food, and entertainment for the participants.

The Celebration of Recovery will feature music from Northeastern PA’s premier blues band, The Merchants of Groove. There will be dozens of exhibitors and FREE fun for the whole family, including a bounce house, face painter, balloon artist, and stilt walker. The event will include a basket raffle and a 50/50 raffle. Free Naloxone and training on how to use it will also be available.
