48th Annual Tent Book Sale – Osterhout Free Library (Central Branch), Wilkes-Barre

The Friends of the Osterhout Free Library present the 48th Annual Tent Book Sale, running June 13–21 on the library patio at 71 South Franklin Street in Wilkes-Barre. This beloved community tradition kicks off with a Preview Sale on Friday, June 13 at 3:00 PM and wraps up with Bag and Box Day on Saturday, June 21. The sale is closed on Sunday, June 15.

Expect thousands of books at unbeatable prices, daily “Mystery Specials” posted on social media, and extended evening hours for added convenience. Don’t miss Children’s Day on Wednesday, June 18, featuring a $5 children’s bag sale, crafts, and a raffle giveaway (while supplies last).

Funds raised support the Osterhout Library’s vital programs and services, with over $600,000 donated by the Friends to date. Shoppers are encouraged to bring their own bags—except on June 21, when bags and boxes will be provided. Cash only, please!
