Art in Context Screening: Persepolis at the Sordoni Art Gallery in Wilkes-Barre takes place Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 5 PM.
Based on Marjane Satrapi’s acclaimed graphic novel, the 2007 film follows Marji as she comes of age in Iran during the late 1970s and 1980s, navigating life before and after the Islamic Revolution. As political tensions rise and the Iran–Iraq War erupts, her rebellious, punk-loving spirit collides with turbulent history.
