Artventurers: Pattern-Palooza takes place at Sordoni Art Gallery in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM. This family-friendly program invites young explorers and their caregivers to engage with art through creativity, curiosity, and hands-on activities in a welcoming gallery setting.
Each Artventurers session includes an interactive art activity plus storytime in partnership with the Osterhout Free Library. New Artventurers will receive a free sketchbook to collect badges and track their creative adventures from session to session.
For Pattern-Palooza, participants will explore the world of pattern through two guided projects. The first activity draws inspiration from Bauhaus artists, using cut-paper shapes to build bold geometric designs. The second activity introduces tessellations, encouraging kids to create repeating patterns inspired by Islamic art and explore how shapes can interlock and repeat in surprising ways.
