Celebrate independent cinema at the Black Bear Film Festival in Milford from Friday, October 17, through Sunday, October 19, 2025. Now in its 25th year, this nonprofit festival continues its mission of promoting artistic expression, conversation, and community through film.
Screenings will take place at the historic Milford Theater and other local venues, showcasing a diverse lineup of independent films and documentaries. Filmmakers and audiences will have opportunities to connect during post-screening Q&A sessions and Salon presentations, fostering dialogue and collaboration.
Special Sunday Salons will highlight community partnerships, including LGBTQ+ films in collaboration with the TriVersity Center and conservation-themed screenings at Grey Towers National Historic Site—the home of Gifford Pinchot and the American conservation movement.
