Celebrating the Semi-Quincentennial: 250 Years of History opens at the Luzerne County Historical Society Museum in Wilkes-Barre on Friday, January 30, 2026, with a reception from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

This new exhibition features several hundred artifacts spanning 250 years of American history, drawn from the LCHS collection and highlighting local mining, military, worship, sports, breweries, and more. Items range from the early 1600s through the 2020s, offering something for visitors of all ages. The exhibition will remain on view throughout 2026 as part of the Society’s America 250 commemorations.

The opening reception is free for LCHS members and includes light beverages and hors d’oeuvres, with staff available to answer questions. The museum is located at 69 South Franklin Street (behind the Osterhout Library). For details, call 570-823-6244 or email reservations@luzernehistory.org. Reservations are requested but not required.
