Join St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Dallas on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM for a fascinating afternoon of local history and storytelling at the Community Historical Presentation. This event features two engaging speakers offering unique perspectives on regional heritage and art.

Oren B. Helbok, a celebrated railroad photographer, presents “Do You See What I Feel?” — a thoughtful exploration of the emotions behind his acclaimed railway images. Mr. Helbok’s work has been featured in Trains, Railfan and Railroad, Railspace News Magazine, and the NRHS Bulletin.

Following that, Sandra Serhan, lifelong resident and columnist, presents “Memoirs of Harvey’s Lake.” This multimedia presentation chronicles the history of Harvey’s Lake from the early 1900s through the 1950s, sharing vivid stories and photographs from a bygone era.

This free community event invites residents and history enthusiasts alike to celebrate the people, places, and memories that shape our region’s identity.
