A complimentary showing of Brave the Dark takes place at the Dietrich Theater in Tunkhannock on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 6:00 PM. Hosted by CASA of Wyoming Valley, this free screening shares a powerful true story centered on resilience and overcoming childhood trauma.
The film follows Mr. Deen after he learns that one of his students, Nate, has been living out of his car and has landed in jail. Mr. Deen makes the life-changing decision to bail him out, and what begins as an act of compassion quickly becomes a determined effort to help Nate face his past and push through the struggles that have shaped his life.
