For over 20 years and more than 3,000 performances, Dark Star Orchestra has carried on the live concert experience of the Grateful Dead, and they bring their acclaimed show to Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 8:00 PM.
Each concert is built from the Dead’s legendary 30-year touring history. Some nights, Dark Star Orchestra recreates an actual Grateful Dead setlist in its entirety; on others, they craft a unique performance from the band’s extensive catalog. The result is an ever-evolving celebration that captures the energy, improvisation, and communal spirit of a true Dead show.
Dark Star Orchestra has earned a devoted following worldwide, from their sold-out debut at Red Rocks Amphitheatre to appearances at top festivals like Bonnaroo, SummerFest, The Peach Music Festival, Mountain Jam, and more. They also host their own annual festival, the Dark Star Jubilee, and headline destination events such as Jam in the Sand in Jamaica.
With guest appearances from original Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, and Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay, among others, Dark Star Orchestra continues to blur the line between tribute and tradition—delivering a live experience that is as much about the feeling as it is about the music.
