Departing from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Regional Railroad Station in Pittston or from Penobscot Station in Mountain Top, these all-day trips travel to the historic town of Jim Thorpe, PA.
Each excursion offers breathtaking views of rolling hills, mountain ridges, and vibrant foliage along the way. Once in Jim Thorpe, passengers will have time to explore downtown’s shops, restaurants, and historic charm before boarding the return train.
Travelers can choose from three seating options:
Standard Coach ($49/person): Comfortable padded seats with flip-backs, restrooms, and functional windows.
Crown Class Coach ($64/person): Plush, reclining seats with extra comfort, climate control, and restrooms.
Vista Class Dome ($120/person): Panoramic overhead views in a climate-controlled dome car with spacious, cushioned seating.
All fares are round-trip and the excursions are operated with diesel locomotives. Tickets are available online, with advance purchase strongly recommended due to high demand during peak foliage season.
