Welcome the new year with Session #2 of the First Day Hike at Beltzville State Park in Lehighton on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Join the Friends of Beltzville and park staff for a scenic 3.5-mile hike from the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) to the tower atop the dam, where you’ll enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Beltzville Lake.
This dog-friendly hike welcomes well-behaved pets on leashes. Participants should dress warmly, wear comfortable footwear suitable for gravel, grass, and dirt surfaces, and bring plenty of water.
Registration is not required for this afternoon session, making it a perfect way to spend New Year’s Day outdoors with friends, family, or furry companions.
