Giants Despair Hillclimb – East Northampton Street, Laurel Run

Saturday & Sunday, July 12–13 | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Experience one of the oldest and most legendary motorsport events in the world at the Giants Despair Hillclimb, returning to East Northampton Street in Laurel Run on Saturday and Sunday, July 12–13, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. Now part of the PHA Championship Series, this renowned race began in 1906 and continues to draw competitors and car enthusiasts from across the country.

Spectators will witness modern and historic cars test their power and precision as they tackle a steep, twisting course full of challenges—featuring iconic turns like the “Devils Elbow” and “The Incline,” a 22-degree climb to the finish. Legends such as Louis Chevrolet, Ralph DePalma, Carroll Shelby, and Roger Penske have all competed here, making this event rich with automotive heritage.
