Did you know there were six dogs that played Max, each got identical haircuts and wore a lightweight head harness with long ears attached to match the look of the original?

Kelly, Chip, Topsy, Stella, Zelda, and Bo, were actually all mixed-breed shelter rescues. These previously abandoned pups got the Hollywood treatment during and after their show-stealing performances. The animals were only expected to perform the actions they were willing to do based on their individual personalities and physical capabilities and better yet, all six dogs were officially adopted during the film’s shooting, or shortly after!
