This past summer, Our Lady of Peace School’s talented middle school students dove headfirst into the magical world of musical theater with the inspiring theme, “If I Could Be a Hero.” From the very beginning, they showed incredible enthusiasm and creativity during poster dialogue sessions, brainstorming and coming up with fantastic ideas for the final presentation.
These budding performers learned monologue analysis, explored parts of the stage, mastered pantomime, and created captivating tableaus. They also discovered the beauty of writing Cinquain poems and wrote their own short scenes, singing and dancing their hearts out to create show-stopping numbers.
In just 5 days, the students collaborated to create an original show around the theme of heroism. They scripted, rehearsed, and perfected their performances, bringing their heroic characters to life on stage.
