Saturday, July 5, 2025 | 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run, 1 Mile Family Walk, & 1 Mile Youth Race
Celebrate the Fourth of July weekend by joining the Independence Day Festival: Runs and Walks on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Louis Schiavo City View Park in Hazleton, PA. Runners and walkers will enjoy a scenic out-and-back course that links the Arthur Gardner Highway with the Hazleton Rails to Trails.
The 5K and 10K races will officially begin with a gun start at 8:30 AM. Gun time will be used for overall winners, while chip time will determine age group placements. All participants will receive a finisher’s medal, race t-shirt, and goody bag.
Awards will be given to the top overall male and female runners in both the 5K and 10K, with additional medals for male and female winners in four age divisions: 19 & under, 20–39, 40–59, and 60+.
For those who can’t attend in person, a virtual race option is available for the 5K, 10K, and 1-Mile Family Walk. Complete your race between Friday, July 4, and Sunday, July 6, and submit your time online to be ranked in a separate virtual division.
All proceeds benefit vital causes including the local autism community, youth sports programs, cancer research, and disabled veterans.
