Independence Day Festival – City View Park, Hazleton, PA

The 5th Annual Independence Day Festival, presented by the Paul and Lisa DeAngelo Family Foundation, returns to City View Park in Hazleton, PA on Friday, July 4, 2025. This full-day celebration kicks off with an 8:30 AM run and continues with family-friendly fun, food, and festivities through 4:00 PM.

Formerly known as the Independence Day Charity Event, this growing community festival includes a 10K Run, 5K Run/Walk, family walk, and one-mile youth race. All registered participants will receive a race T-shirt, goody bag, and finisher medal. Prizes will be awarded to top 10K and 5K finishers by age category.

Live entertainment features performances by Liquid A, one of the region’s premier rock cover bands, as well as sets from a DJ and local youth talent. Families can enjoy games of chance, children’s activities, food trucks, tricky trays, silent auctions, and a show-stopping exotic car and truck display from the DeAngelo Family.

Proceeds from the festival benefit local autism organizations, youth sports, cancer research, and disabled veterans programs—making this celebration of freedom one that gives back in a meaningful way.
