Intermediate Throwing | The Peaceful Potter, Wilkes-Barre

Take your pottery skills to the next level with Intermediate Throwing at The Peaceful Potter in Wilkes-Barre, beginning Saturday, November 1, 2025. This six-week course meets weekly from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and is designed for students who have completed Intro to Pottery or have equivalent wheel-throwing experience.
In this class, students will refine their techniques by working with varying clay weights, adding handles and spouts, and exploring advanced shaping and trimming methods. Participants will build confidence and precision on the wheel while developing their own creative style.
Tuition includes all clay, glazes, and firings for up to 10 pieces. Students enjoy unlimited studio access during weeks 1–4 and three additional open studio days (Friday–Sunday following the final class) to finish glazing and detail work.
Students must be able to throw a 4-inch cylinder to enroll. A beginner pottery tool kit, one-gallon bucket, car wash sponge, and towel are required; tool kits can be purchased on the first day for $30. This class is for adults ages 18 and older.
