JoAnn Pilston: Snowman Class at the Hazleton Art League in Hazleton takes place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and invites adults to create their own handmade snowman sculptures. This evening workshop introduces a fun technique for forming hollow shapes and turning them into charming winter characters.
Under the guidance of instructor JoAnn Pilston, participants learn how to build a hollow form that becomes a snowman approximately 5½ to 6 inches tall. Each person can choose to make a luminary that glows on winter nights or keep the snowman solid for display on a shelf or table.
The class is designed for adults ages 18 and older and is beginner-friendly, making it a great option for a creative night out. Attendees can come on their own or bring a friend to share the experience of “making memories” while they make snowmen that require no shoveling or cold weather.
Tuition for members is $70 and for nonmembers is $80; both prices include a $42 materials fee. Finished snowmen will return from the studio after the holiday, providing a cheerful winter decoration well into the season.
