“MUSIC NOW AND THEN”
The Susquehanna Symphony Society (SSS) will present The Early on Trio in concert at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at St. Paul’s Church, 276 Church Street, Montrose.
The concert will feature The Early on Trio with Larry Zukof (recorders and viola da gamba); Barbara Kaufman (recorders); and Paul Sweeny (classical guitar). Their wide-ranging program includes the music from various periods from the Baroque (1600-1750) to the 21st century.
The Early on Trio is a rotating group of musicians specializing in a wide range of recorder and lute/guitar repertoire spanning early music, romantic, and 21st century.
The interactive program will illustrate emerging and transitional styles by including a wide range of ancient and recent music for various combinations of instruments.
The Susquehanna Symphony Society (SSS) is dedicated to bringing live musical performances to the county, such as classical, jazz, and other popular styles. We strive to keep performances affordable, working with other organizations that subsidize the arts, with an emphasis on student audiences.
