MVD is pleased to announce a new installment in their Sunday wine series with their friend and collaborator, Justin Naylor, of Old Tioga Farm. These pre-paid events run from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoons and can be booked online through Tock.

Father’s Day is a special time of year for reflection and celebration of family. In June, we think about maturity, the arc of life, and generational growth. So they decided to incorporate those themes this year into their exploration of wine at MVD with a new class entitled, “Age-Worthy Italian Wines,” which will be held on Father’s Day, June 16. Dad may or may not be vintage, but if he is into wine, they encourage you to bring him! As always, all are welcome.

Have you ever wondered what makes a wine worth holding on to? Some wines are well-suited for long-term ‘cellaring’ as they develop in complexity and character, while others are best enjoyed upon release each season for their freshness and vigor. With this new event, you will explore what makes some wines suitable for aging and others not, the physical requirements for long-term storage, and the present-day buying considerations for aging of wine.

These pre-paid events are reservation-only and include not only the wine, but also signature dishes created by MVD Chef Val Sartor to compliment each vintage. Prices include all taxes and gratuity.

As always, they will offer wines to-go at the end of the event from the MVD bottle shop. You can take home a bottle–or four–of anything you’ve liked from the class at special discounted pricing.

All wines and food items used in the classes will remain unpublished until the day of the event. They can make some accommodation for dietary restrictions and food allergies with advance notice. Please notify them of any dietary restrictions at least 24 hours prior to the event.
