It’s the inaugural NEPA Run the River Race — a water-themed 5 Fun Run & Mile Walk.

This year, NEPA Summer in the City is taking to Wilkes-Barre to host a day long “Day Downtown Festival,” but they know it wouldn’t be a full day without a nice morning run/walk around Kirby Park to get you all stretched out for the days fun!

Volunteers will line the course with water guns and water-toys to cool you off during the course and keep with the water-theme of the race! Don’t want to get wet? No worries… just choose the right color shirt when registering. Blue will mean water and white will mean no water!

Prizes will be given for the fastest in every age-group and to the top three overall male and female finishers.

$25.00 — before July 1st
$30.00 — July 1st to July 20th
$35.00 — on July 20th (morning of)

8:30am — Registration Opens
10:00am — Runners Start 5K
10:15am — Walkers Start Fun Run
11:00am — Awards Ceremony in Public Square at Day Downtown Festival
