On Thursday, June 20, the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Susquehanna County will share information on creating pollinator-friendly gardens at the Educational Demonstration Garden located at the Extension office at 88 Chenango Street in Montrose. Drop in to tour the garden and learn why pollinators are important, the benefits of native plants to pollinators, and how to incorporate native plants and shrubs into home landscape designs. Take home garden design templates, native plant profiles, and complimentary pollinator-friendly flower seeds. This program is free, open to the public, and family-friendly; registration is not required. Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to help answer your home gardening questions. For additional information, contact the Master Gardeners at 570-666-9003 or susquehannamg@psu.edu.
