Producers, Consumers, Decomposers, Oh My! will take place at Vosburg Neck State Park in Tunkhannock on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 12:00 PM. This family-friendly program introduces children and their families to the food chain through hands-on learning and outdoor exploration.
Participants will begin with an engaging lesson on how producers, consumers, and decomposers interact within ecosystems. Afterwards, families will head out on a guided nature walk along one of the park’s scenic trails to search for and identify real-life examples of each role in action.
The program combines education with outdoor adventure, making it a fun way for children to connect with nature while learning about the essential balance of life in the natural world.
