Read Across America Event takes place at Boscov’s in Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, celebrating literacy with storytimes, kid-friendly activities, and a live magic show.

Stories will be read aloud every 20 minutes throughout the event, giving families multiple chances to drop in and join a reading session. A make-and-take craft is paired with each story, offering children a hands-on activity to take home.

The first 50 children through the door will receive a free book, and a magic show will be held at 1:00 PM for an added highlight during the afternoon.
