Ricketts Glen Day Hike takes place at Ricketts Glen State Park in Benton on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 1:00 PM, inviting participants to join the Endless Mountains Heritage Region for a guided afternoon on the Cherry Run Loop. Parking is available at Beach Parking Lot #2, reached by following Park Road after entering the park and passing the park office. The Cherry Run Loop is approximately 5.5 miles and is considered moderate, with the full hike expected to take about three hours.
Along the route, participants will pass Lake Leigh Dam and visit a couple of smaller waterfalls, making this a scenic, satisfying trek for hikers looking for a springtime trail experience. Since conditions can be muddy this time of year, sensible footwear such as hiking boots or comfortable sneakers is recommended, along with dressing for the weather and bringing enough water for the hike.
