Scranton BK5K – Nay Aug Park, Scranton, PA

Fastenal presents the Scranton BK5K, a community-centered 5K run and walk held at Nay Aug Park in Scranton, PA on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Created in honor of Fastenal founder Bob Kierlin—a lifelong supporter of youth development—the event raises funds for local youth organizations and programs that demonstrate financial need.

Over the past three years, the Scranton BK5K has awarded more than $84,000 in grants to regional youth groups through a competitive application process. The 2024 race alone generated $28,000 for groups such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania, NEPA Youth Shelter, Valley Community Library, and more.

New this year is a Fun Walk, perfect for supporters who want to participate without completing the full 5K. All proceeds from the event go directly toward empowering youth in northeastern Pennsylvania. Runners, walkers, families, and supporters are encouraged to attend and contribute to making an even greater impact in 2025.
