Summer Heritage Benefit Paddle takes place on the Susquehanna River on Saturday, July 11, 2026, with participants meeting by 8:00 AM at Bartolai Winery in Pittston before shuttling to Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals in Falls for an 11-mile guided paddle back to the winery.
Hosted by the Endless Mountains Heritage Region, the trip begins with a welcome and safety briefing before paddlers head downstream from SKCR to Bartolai, with a lunch stop along the way. Participants should bring snacks or a packed lunch for the river portion of the day.
Following the paddle, dinner catered by Art Coolbaugh will be served at Bartolai Winery, where guests can enjoy local wines and live music by John Marrow. The event benefits Patriot’s Cove in Noxen, a nonprofit organization supporting veterans, first responders, and caregivers through restorative outdoor programs and educational retreats. Patriot’s Cove founder Jeff Swire will serve as guest speaker.
Registration is $60 for those bringing their own kayak or canoe and includes the guided trip, shuttling, insurance, dinner, entertainment, and a donation to Patriot’s Cove. Rentals are available for an additional $50 for a single kayak or $70 for a tandem kayak or canoe. Participants should dress for the weather and bring sunscreen, water, and a dry bag. Registration is requested by Monday, July 6, 2026.
