Get ready for some fun in the sun as the Endless Mountains Heritage Region hosts its annual Summer Heritage Benefit Paddle on July 12, 2025! EMHR is again partnering with Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals on July 12, 2025, for a 12-mile paddle trip down the Susquehanna from Tunkhannock to Falls Township.

Participants are asked to bring appropriate footwear, clothing, a lunch and/or snacks, sunscreen and enough water. They will meet at Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals, located at 119 Krafty Rd., Falls, PA 18615 by 8 a.m. for registration. Following the welcome and safety briefing, the shuttle will take participants to Riverside Park in Tunkhannock where we will launch down river by 10 a.m.

The paddle portion of this event will end back at Susquehanna Kayak & Canoe Rentals at about 4 p.m., with dinner prepared by Art Coolbaugh and family, along with live music from Bobby Scott.

Countryside Conservancy’s Bill Kern will be the guest speaker at this event, who will share information and updates. Registration is $60 for those wishing to bring their own kayak, and $110 for those renting a single or $130 for a tandem kayak/canoe. These registration fees will cover a donation to Countryside Conservancy, insurance, dinner, entertainment and educational programming.
