The Expedition launches from Pocono Whitewater in Jim Thorpe on Sunday, June 14, 2026; Sunday, June 28, 2026; Friday, July 10, 2026; Friday, July 31, 2026; Friday, August 14, 2026; Friday, August 28, 2026; and Saturday, September 19, 2026, with each trip starting at 10:00 AM for a guided inflatable kayaking adventure through Lehigh Gorge State Park.

This trip is designed for guests who want more control and a hands-on challenge. Participants paddle an inflatable or sit-on-top kayak and independently navigate 12 miles of the Lehigh River during a time when the river is not open to whitewater rafters, creating a quieter, more exploratory day on the water.

Along the route, paddlers will practice catching eddies, riding waves, and working with the river’s current while taking in the scenery and learning about the history of the Lehigh River area. Guides remain with the group throughout the trip, offering basic instruction on maneuvering, surfing, and navigation, and providing support with re-entry if a paddler takes a swim.
