Experience an unforgettable evening of music as The University of Scranton Jazz Band welcomes world-renowned drummer Marion Felder for a special performance on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 7:30 PM. The concert will be held on the University of Scranton campus and is free and open to the public.
A Detroit native, Marion Felder brings a powerful mix of tradition, versatility, and virtuosity to every performance. Currently touring and recording with Michael Bublé, Felder’s impressive career includes collaborations with legends such as Wynton Marsalis, Paul Simon, Van Morrison, Hank Jones, and many more. He has performed with the Count Basie Orchestra, The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and the Wycliffe Gordon Quintet, among others. A graduate of The Juilliard School, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees on full scholarship, Felder is celebrated for his dynamic artistry and command of jazz percussion.
The University of Scranton Jazz Band is a 25-member big band–style ensemble featuring student musicians from diverse academic backgrounds. Under the umbrella of Performance Music at The University of Scranton, the group presents multiple concerts each year, often featuring acclaimed guest artists like Felder.
