Things that Go Boom in the Night takes over King’s College in Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, inviting families to enjoy free, hands-on science fun. Faculty and students from the Department of Chemistry & Physics lead lively demonstrations featuring chromatography “ghosts,” “alien eyeballs,” exploding eggs, colorful flames, and oozing jack-o-lanterns.

This drop-in event is held on the third floor of the Sheehy-Farmer Student Center. No registration is required—arrive anytime during the program; demos run periodically throughout the evening. Costumes are encouraged.
