Vosburg Neck State Park Night Hike takes place at Vosburg Neck State Park in Tunkhannock on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 7:30 PM, inviting participants to join the Endless Mountains Heritage Region and DCNR staff for an evening hike featuring seasonal night-sky fun. Hikers should meet at 470 Vosburg Rd, Tunkhannock, PA 18657 for sign-in and to receive a free glowstick.
Led by DCNR Environmental Education Specialist Amanda Kiernan, the group will complete an approximately four-mile loop combining the Canal, Eagle, and River Trails. The route is considered an easy hike overall, with mostly level walking and a small amount of uphill and downhill along Vosburg Road. Along the way, participants will experience a mix of landscapes including woodland, farmland, and views of the Susquehanna River.
Hikers are encouraged to wear weather-appropriate clothing and hiking shoes or boots and to bring enough water for a couple of hours on the trail. The program will also include moon-themed learning tied to October’s full moon, often called the Hunter’s Moon.
This event is free and open to the public. Registration is requested for glowstick counts and staffing, and it closes on Thursday, October 22, 2026.
