Where Do the Animals Go When It Snows? | Van Scott Nature Reserve, Beach Lake

Saturday, December 6, 2025 | 2:00 PM

Where Do the Animals Go When It Snows? will be held at the Van Scott Nature Reserve in Beach Lake on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Hosted by the Delaware Highlands Conservancy, this family-friendly program explores the wonders of winter wildlife through stories, activities, and crafts.

The program begins with a reading of Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner, a beautifully illustrated book that reveals the hidden world of animals during the snowy season. Children and their families will then participate in hands-on activities and creative crafts designed to teach how different species adapt and survive when the cold weather arrives.

Created especially for elementary-age children and their families, this event offers an engaging blend of education and fun, sparking curiosity about the natural world and encouraging outdoor exploration even in the colder months.
