For thousands of years the Winter Solstice has been celebrated around the world—acknowledging the shortest day of the year as a return to light, a return to innocence; a rebirth along the wheel of life as the great world continues to spin.
Join Lisa Mo for a special candlelight yoga class and guided meditation to honor and acknowledge Winter Solstice, as she invites in and welcomes back the light through this beautiful seasonal transition.
This 60-minute slow flow class will be set to winter-themed music, including some traditional Yule carols in the style of our pre-Christian ancestors, and will be appropriate for all levels of experience–beginners always welcome. A special essential oil blend pertinent to the season will be shared during savasana, if desired.
Participants should dress comfortably for movement, bring a water bottle, and arrive a few minutes early to settle in and set up their space. A limited number of yoga mats are available to borrow on a FCFS basis, but please bring your own if you are able, and anything else you may like to get cozy on the floor for a guided meditation (blanket, eye pillow/mask, etc.)
Investment: $10 or use your River Run December class pass.
