Step up to the workbench and discover the fundamentals of woodworking at Johnson College’s Women at the Workbench: Carpentry Workshop on Saturday, October 25, 2025. This one-day, hands-on workshop runs from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the college’s Scranton campus and offers a welcoming environment for beginners and those looking to gain confidence with tools.

Led by Johnson College’s WAVE (Workforce Advancement & Value-Added Education) department, participants will learn essential carpentry skills such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials while completing their own individual projects. The workshop emphasizes both technical instruction and personal growth, giving attendees the chance to walk away with something they built themselves and the confidence to continue building.
