Come celebrate the season at the Wyoming Valley Striders’ 50th Annual Cherry Blossom 5 Mile Run on April 27 as they continue their year-long celebration of 50 years as a running club! This exciting event will take place at Kirby Park, timed perfectly with the stunning cherry trees in full bloom. Be sure to check out the Cherry Blossom Festival happening in the park this weekend!
As part of their year-long 50th anniversary celebrations, the WVS is offering FREE race entry to all past Cherry Blossom overall male and female winners! Winners should contact WVS to claim their entry.

Price increases 4/1/25: WVS members $25, non-members $30
Runners must pre-register online. Race day entries will not be accepted.
Online registration will close Friday, April 25, 2025 at noon.
Race starts at 9:00 am. (Note: Earlier start time this year.)
The start and finish of the run will be in the meadow area in Kirby Park then fast and flat, out and back over a macadam pavement on the dike.
This event is the second race of the Wyoming Valley Striders 6th Annual Vince Wojnar Triple Crown. Series includes their Winter’s End 4.5 Mile Run on March 23 and 20K Run on November 9. Cash and participation prizes are awarded at the end of the series.
