Youth Heritage Sojourn | Endless Mountains Outfitters, Sugar Run

Youth Heritage Sojourn begins at Endless Mountains Outfitters in Sugar Run on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 8:00 AM and continues through Saturday, June 20, 2026, offering students in grades 6–12 a three-day, two-night kayaking and education adventure along the Susquehanna River.

Hosted by the Endless Mountains Heritage Region in partnership with Endless Mountains Outfitters, this 32-mile journey is led by EMO owner and Towanda Area School District teacher Keith Brown. Participants will paddle from Sugar Run to Tunkhannock while learning about kayaking safety and local history, building outdoor skills, and forming new friendships.

Students will stay both evenings at Camp Lackawanna in Tunkhannock. The $200 registration fee includes a three-day kayak rental, two breakfasts, two lunches, two dinners, lodging, educational programming, insurance, and shuttling. A detailed packing list will be emailed to registered participants.

Pickup on Saturday, June 20 is at noon at Riverside Park in Tunkhannock (112b River St, Tunkhannock, PA 18657) or at 2:00 PM back at Endless Mountains Outfitters.
