Rockin' the River: Wilkes-Barre's Concert Series Kicks Off
Last Friday, the Rockin’ the River concert series kicked off at Millennium Circle in Wilkes-Barre, filling the Susquehanna River with sounds of blues and funk. This marks the fifth year of the series at River Common. The evening featured The TRiBE, followed by U2 tribute band The Unforgettable Fire, who energized the crowd with sing-alongs. Food trucks and drink vendors were also on hand.
The concert series continues this Friday, July 19, with Winslow: An Evening with the Eagles and opening act The Traveling Wilkes-Barreans. The final show of the 2024 series will feature country music singer Lanie Gardner, with opening act The Broke Pines, on Friday, July 26.
