Local Market + Cafe
City Line in Carbondale is a mercantile shop, cafe and boutique art studio & gallery with a local twist. This family-run business has been serving the community for six generations, originally beginning as Mermelstein’s in 1955. Today, they serve as a community gathering place where you can shop, eat and create all under one roof.
City Line’s local market is full of items from NEPA farmers, artists, and artisans. Browse through locally made treats like cheese, honey, ice cream, coffee, syrup, jams, and so much more. They also offer a great selection of local and handmade gifts, like candles, jewelry, soaps, clothing, and other unique finds.
The cafe at City Line is like a community hub. Enjoy breakfast all day, cold and hot sammies, flatbreads, salads and more while Manning’s Ice Cream is on the menu year ’round to satisfy your sweet tooth. Grab-and-go or stay and savor your meal in their inviting dining space.
The events space is always welcoming local small businesses while the art studio and gallery hosts parties and community events.
Stewards Jack and Nicole invite you to experience this special place, dedicated to family and community.
