Scranton Lace Village’s Bark Bash Festival Benefits Local Animal Rescues
This past weekend, Scranton’s Lace Village was buzzing with barks and excitement as the community came together for Bark Bash—a festival dedicated to all things furry, friendly, and four-legged. Pet owners, animal enthusiasts, and local supporters joined together to celebrate our beloved companions and raise funds for four amazing local rescues. The festival supported Friends With Paws Pet Rescue, Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, Adopt a Boxer Rescue, and Griffin Pond Animal Shelter. With just a $1 suggested entry donation, attendees got to enjoy a full day of fun—all while helping rescues that work tirelessly to find loving homes for animals in need.
Visitors strolled through rows of vendor booths offering everything from handmade pet accessories to tasty dog treats and unique finds. Families had a blast at the petting zoo, and those thinking about adding a new member to the family could meet adoptable dogs hoping to find their forever homes.
Local food trucks served up delicious bites to keep everyone energized, while NEPA’s craft breweries, wineries, and cideries kept the good vibes flowing with refreshing drinks for the adults.
From live dog training demos to face painting and kid-friendly fun, the day was packed with activities to keep tails wagging and smiles going. Whether you came to adopt, shop, or simply share the love for animals, Bark Bash was a positive success.
Until next time—here’s to more wagging tails and happy homes!
