Palmerton, PA
Experience the thrill of Pennsylvania’s highest vertical drop at Blue Mountain. At 1,082 feet, this resort belongs on your NEPA bucket list. Blue Mountain boasts 40 trails, 5 terrain parks and the longest snow tubing lanes in the state. After a day on the slopes, enjoy dinner and drinks at Slopeside Pub & Grill.
Wilkes-Barre, PA
The Penguins are NEPA’s own AHL hockey team and an affiliate of the NHL’s Pittsburgh Penguins. Their home ice is at the Mohegan Sun Arena. You’re bound to see their mascot, Tux, roaming the stands and rousing some team spirit.

Revolution Ice Centre is a state‑of‑the‑art skating and hockey facility. The rink is home to the Wilkes‑Barre/Scranton Knights hockey teams, the Blue Ridge Figure Skating Club and several local college hockey teams. All ages can hit the ice with in‑house leagues, kids’ programs and public skating sessions.
East Stroudsburg, PA
Shawnee Mountain Ski Area combines the thrill of the slopes with a family‑friendly atmosphere. They offer 23 trails, 2 terrain parks and snow tubing in the Pocono Mountains. A favorite for families and beginners, this resort offers lessons and programs for all ages.
Long Pond, PA
The snow and mud only add to the fun at Pocono Outdoor Adventure Tours. They offer guided UTV trips all year round. Explore the forest trails and tackle the obstacles at the challenge course. Trips also include a stop at the famous Pocono Raceway.
White Haven, PA
Jack Frost Ski Resort offers awesome skiing and riding in the Poconos. This resort features 20 trails and 2 terrain parks. Slopes range from family‑friendly trails to challenging black diamonds.
Lackawaxen, PA
Ski Big Bear is a family‑oriented ski resort in the Poconos. They offer 18 trails of all levels, 3 terrain parks and snow tubing. Their Snowsports School offers excellent learn‑to‑ski programs for children and adults, which makes it a great spot for families and first-timers.
Tannersville, PA
