South Wilkes-Barre is served by the Osterhout Library’s South Branch on the corner of Stanton and Airy Streets.

With its proximity to several local schools, this library has long served as a safe, after school hangout for children and teens. Every Thursday, the South Branch features its popular Read to a Dog night.

Library cardholders are welcome to borrow books, utilize computers and services, and they even have access to all of the amenities at the much larger Central Branch as well as all other branches.
