Animal Welfare Society of Monroe (AWSOM) in Stroudsburg is a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs and cats across Monroe County. Since 2009, AWSOM has provided a safe haven for animals in need, giving each pet individualized care while helping them find permanent, loving homes. Their mission extends beyond rescue to include prevention, education and access to affordable veterinary care.
Compassionate Shelter & Adoption Services
AWSOM cares for every animal on a case-by-case basis, ensuring medical attention, socialization and safe housing while they await adoption. Their team works closely with potential adopters to make the best possible matches, giving pets a second chance at a happy life.
Wellness Center & Community Outreach
