Founded in 1988, the Artists for Art (AFA) Gallery is a vital hub for the arts community in Northeastern Pennsylvania, supporting visual artists and fostering collaboration with local organizations like the Everhart Museum and Scranton Fringe Festival. AFA hosts various special events, including First Fridays, fundraisers, and artist talks, and partners with groups such as Arts Alive and Lackawanna Markets. Supported primarily through member donations, AFA also receives funding from the Lackawanna County Department of Arts and Culture as well as the Pennsylvania Council of the Arts via their regional partner, Arts in Education NEPA.
