Mission Statement
Our mission is to enhance the skills, connections and knowledge of emerging and established leaders, enabling them to better serve in our communities, workplaces and organizations.
Leadership Lackawanna instills strong leadership, interpersonal and managerial skills in people who live or work in Lackawanna County. Based in Scranton, this professional development organization has an alumni base of over 2,200 people.
Leadership Lackawanna offers four programs: the Leadership Lackawanna Core Program, the Executive Program, Tomorrow’s Leaders Today (for high school juniors) and Welcome Scranton! (a short introduction to the Scranton area). Each program provides opportunities to network with local leaders, build teamwork skills and give back to the community. Participants create service projects to help uplift the region.
